It’s official. I just heard an advertisement for a Tom Petty concert referring to the Wachovia Center as the Wells Fargo Center. See the link below:

Wells Fargo took over Wachovia a while ago, but as I understand it, they didn’t want their name on the building until the Sixers finish playing this year. There are a lot of nasty, negative things being said about banks but an association with the Sixers will be hard to overcome.
