Night 9,971– February 28, 2010
There is no place to park in the city because of the snow, so I’ve been taking public transportation. I enjoy this. Today on the way home, I was hurrying from the Broad Street line to the 69th Street train; if you hurry you can get from one to the other without a wait. There were these two guys in front of me walking side by side chit chatting. They were blocking the way, which is not very wide. Two guys behind me scooted around them by walking on the yellow line next to the track. This yellow line is about two feet wide and is there to mark where you’re not suppose to stand so the train won’t hit you. After they went by I decided to pass. As I crossed onto the yellow line the guy nearest to me turns into me and almost knocks me onto the track. We look at each other and said we’re sorry for the contact then moved on. If I fell onto the track, I don’t know how I would have gotten back up. I missed the 69th Street train and had to wait another eight minutes.
